Contest Announcement for Academic Positions

Caucasus International University is pleased to announce contest for academic positions within the framework of BA Educational Program in Viticulture-Winemaking:

Academic position of Professor: 2 vacancies

Academic position of Associate Professor: 8 vacancies

Academic position of Assistant Professor: 2 vacancies

The contest will be announced from 15 February, 2017.

In order to qualify for the academic position the applicants must submit the following documents from 16 March to 20 March, 2017 to the committee:

• Announcement to the contest committee. Specialty and academic position should be indicated (it should be filled in on spot); 
• Personal Profile / CV;
•  A copy of ID;
•  One photo; 
• Notarized copies of educational documents verifying qualification; 
•  A document/documents certifying pedagogical-scientific work experience;
• Document/s certifying professional experience;
• List of publications during the last 10 years; 
• Copies of certificates verifying participation in international and local conferences, certificate courses and trainings (under equal conditions, preference will be given to a candidate who had participated in more international conferences);
• Copies of documents verifying scholarships and grants.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Professor, the following documents are required:

·                     Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;

·                     At least 6 years scientific-pedagogical experience at higher education institution;

·                     Authorship-or co-authorship of scholarly articles published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions priority will be given to applicants who will have more international publications);  

·                     The conception of  the development of  the educational program (description), an applicant is willing to participate in; 

·                     The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;

·                     Practical experience in working out educational programs and syllabi;

In order to qualify for the academic position of Associate Professor, the following documents are required:

·                     Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;

·                     At least 3 years scientific-pedagogical experience at higher education institution;

·                     Authorship-or co-authorship of scholarly articles published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions priority will be given to applicants who will have more international publications);  

·                     The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;

·                     Practical experience in working out educational programs and syllabi;

In order to qualify for the academic position of Assistant Professor, the following documents are required:

·                     Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree (under equal conditions priority will be given to an applicant with scientific-pedagogical experience);

·                     Authorship-or co-authorship of scholarly articles published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions priority will be given to applicants who will have more international publications);  

·                     The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;

In order to certify professional qualification:

• Professional experience which can be verified by at least 5 years scientific-pedagogic experience in relevant sphere;

The contest will be conducted in two stages:

1. Selection of candidates according to the submitted documents (without the presence of candidates);
2. Interview of the selected candidates with the committee (if required).

Contest Terms and Conditions:

Contest application and appropriate documents must be submitted within a given deadline;

Foreign educational documents must be accompanied by documents verifying its approval by Georgian law;

The documents will be selected by the committee in order to establish the correspondence of the documents submitted by the candidates;

 The first stage of the contest will be conducted on 21 March, 2017;

The second stage of the contest (if necessary) will be conducted on 22 March, 2017;

The results will be available on 23 March, 2017;
