Caucasus International University Life-Long Learning Service has renewed one of the most famous certificate courses – “Wine, Tourism and Gastronomy” from the current semester.
The above mentioned course was attended by individuals interested in wine industry and tourism.
The trainers – Ketevan Jurkhadze, CIU Deputy Chancellor and Dali Tsatavadze, Researcher of Gastronomical Culture placed emphasis on the following topics during the certificate course: wine types, flavours and margins of its perception, wine defect, combination of wine and food, wine and tourism, history of gastronomical culture.
The participants had the opportunity to conduct wine degustation besides studying wine typology, its marketing strategies and customer culture within the framework of the course. The participants have tasted Georgian wines, as well as wines from New Zealand, Switzerland and French wines made in qvevri.
The participants were awarded bilingual certificates upon the completion of the course.
CIU has been offering the courses: “Wine, Tourism and Gastronomy” and “Wine and Wine Culture” since the establishment of the faculty of viticulture-winemaking and they are becoming more and more popular.
