Caucasus International University students of the faculty of Medicine: Giorgi Pilishvili, Lia Talakhadze, Liana Kavrelishvili, Nana Teitsi, Zurab Lomidze and Humad Adnan Mohammad Al-Obaid, a student of the English program in Medicine participated in the student conference “Antibiotics and Antibiotic Resistance” by the supervision of CIU invited lecturer Maia Svanidze on 17 December, 2016.
The conference was organized by Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy. The event venue was Conference Hall at “MediClub Georgia” and numerous students of higher educational institution participated in it. The deans of various higher Schools of Medicine, CIU dean Lali Mekoshkishvili among them, addressed and wished them success.
The presenters showed the results of a several-months research referring to the problem of globally increasing resistance of microbes towards antibiotics and clinical trials. The conference was held in an interesting and creative atmosphere, students demonstrated their high level of professionalism and research skills. Discussions were organized and the participants expressed their positive attitudes and willingness to meet in future.
