Civil Education Lecturers Association (CELA), by the financial support of USAID and within the framework of a program “Strengthening Election Processes” (SEP) implemented by IFES Georgia, has organized another meeting of the discussions “Dialogues on Democracy” on the topic – Labour Rights in Georgia” at CIU Conference Hall.
The presenters – Amiran Zenaishvili, Doctor of Law, a Chair of the Trade Union of Energy Workers of Georgia and Lina Ghvinianidze – Social Rights Program Director at Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center. The moderator of the meeting was Kakha Uriadmkopeli, a representative of Civic Education Lecturers Association.
Unbalanced labour rights between employer and employee, doing overtime work and employees not having enough information – these were the issues that were discussed against the background of the processes taking place in Georgia.
The presenters placed emphasis on positive changes and the need to amend future reform and answers the questions of the audience.
