CIU law faculty students have made presentations on problematic and positive aspects of implementing into practice institutional arrangement of “Local Self-Governance Code”. In addition, they presented juridical analysis.
The following topics have been presented: the issues of decentralization in local self-government, legal issues of declaring distrust of governor/mayor, compatibility between municipality and mayor authorities – analysis of differences.
The meeting was attended by the member of Parliamentary Majority, Gia Zhorzholiani. He expressed his opinion in relation to students’ works and gave recommendations. The presentation has been held within the framework of the study course “Municipal Law of Local Self-Governance” (Professor Amiran Zeinashvili).
