Ms. Lali Mikeladze and Ms. Eka Devidze will provide students with the information about the new project Revive tradition. The project will refer to the so-called Italian Yards of old Tbilisi. It is noteworthy that such yards do not exist in Italy; however, they are organic part of Tbilisi urban life and became tradition which indicates to the multicultural environment of the city.
Nowadays, Tbilisi yards are nearly destroyed. More and more foreign visitors are paying attention and becoming interested in this type of houses and yards. The main aim of the project is to “revive” these yards and organize small festivals, which will make the city more attractive.
It is worth mentioning that the idea of the project emerged at the training of trainers organized by Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation in Florence. The participants from Georgia were Lali Mikeladze, supervisor of CIU Program in Tourism and Eka Devidze, founder of non-governmental organization “Tourism and Reality”.
At the meeting, students of the Faculty of Business Faculty will be informed about the goals of the project and the implementation issues. It is planned to form a working group of students participating in the project.
