Nugzar Kandelaki, head of Youth Policy Management Department at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and Shorena Shiukashvili, Senior specialist of the above mentioned department met the university students within the framework of the program on Providing Professional Orientation for the youth and a presentation of the course-book “Choose a Profession”. The event was organized by Caucasus International University Career Development Service.
Shorena Shiukashvili, a representative of Youth Policy Management Department discussed career planning and professional issues with the students. She presented a webpage myprofession.gov.ge created on professional orientation issues and showed informative resources. As stated by her, currently 95 videos are prepared and uploaded. Representatives of various professions analyze their choice, professional challenges, difficulties and advantages in the videos.
Questionnaires concerning professional decision making and study of an individual, as well as Holland’s self-directed research are available on the website.
Shorena Shiukashvili presented the first course-book of career consultation “Choose a Profession” to the students during the meeting. The course-book is designed for last year pupils, as well as for the individuals who have not chosen a profession yet or want to change it.
The representatives of Youth Policy Management Department gave the book to students and CIU library as a gift.
