Georgian and foreign students of CIU Faculty of Medicine, academic personnel and other interested individuals attended two public lectures held at Caucasus International University conference Hall on January 16, 2019.
Professor Nino Porakishvili, Principal Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and course supervisor (MSC MSc Biomedical Sciences) at the University of Westminster, London, Great Britain held a public lecture at Caucasus International University Conference Hall. The topic of the lecture was: Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia – A Case Study.
as stated by the presenter, the lecture had two main aims. Initially, it tried to inform the students and the audience about new treatments available for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and modern approaches to the disease. In addition, the lecture was held in accordance with Case Based Studying.
Mr. Peter Lydyard, CIU Affiliated Professor from Great Britain, an eminent scientist and immunologist, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of University College London, Visiting Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Westminster presented in front of the audience gathered at the Conference Hall. The topic of his presentation was: Exciting Current and Developing approaches to New Therapeutic Agents - a personal view.
