Khatia Vashakmadze, Chief Specialist of Research and Planning Department of Georgian National Tourism Administration held a masterclass for the Faculty of Business students on the topic: Career in Tourism Field. The event was organized within the framework of CIU Career Week on March 28, 2019.
The presenter shared with the audience her professional experience and discussed the skills which are necessary in order to achieve success in Tourism field. In addition, Khatia Vashakmadze introduced the activities of National Tourism Administration and, in general, placed emphasis on brand new tendencies in Tourism.
“It is important not only to study tourism, but gain pleasure from this activity. In order to succeed, it is necessary to work hard, to engage in various activities, learn foreign languages and develop permanently” – stated Khatia Vashakmadze. Towards the end of the masterclass, the students were awarded publication by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia - Guidance for Tourism in Business Management.
Lali Mikeladze, supervisor of CIU Postgraduate Program in Tourism made significant comments during the meeting and provided the audience with additional information on tourism teaching and practical activities.
We would like to remind you that Career Week is organized by the initiative of CIU Career Development Service and the Faculty of Business which envisages four thematic events. The aim of the week is help students in choosing specific specialties and in planning their future career.
