Dirk Jentschura Conducted Lectures for CIU Faculty OF Medicine Students

German surgeon-oncologist, Privat-Docent of the University Hospital of Mannheim (Germany) and Caucasus International University Professor, Dirk Jentschura delivered four public lectures for sixth, seventh, ninth and tenth semester students of CIU Faculty of Medicine on October 29 and 31, 2018. The topics of the public lectures were the following:

1. “Trauma; soft tissue damage, brain injury, head injury, abdominal cavity damage, bone fracture, burn, freezing, wounds”;
2. “Bowel obstruction”;
3. “Urgent surgery”;
4. “Thoracic surgery”.

It is worth mentioning that besides lectures, Dr. Dirk Jentschura conducted practical classes for faculty of Medicine students at CIU Affiliated clinic – Tbilisi Cancer Centre on October 30 and November 1-2, 2018.

As stated by students, the lecturer provided theoretical as well as visual aids (video and photo materials) which made the lectures even more interesting and interactive.

Faculty of Medicine students were given opportunity to ask additional questions to the lecturer concerning the novelties and challenges in the field.
