Ms. Lali Mikeladze, Head of Tourism Laboratory founded on the base of Caucasus International University Faculty of Business, organized a masterclass for CIU students of Undergraduate Program in Tourism at Hotel Gallery Palace on April 12, 2019. The masterclass was conducted by Tamar Sikharulidze, a general manager of the Hotel.
The event was held for the sixth-semester students of the Undergraduate Program in Tourism who are currently taking courses – Tour operating, Tourism Policy and Legislative Base. The Masterclass highlighted the field trends, problems and practical components existing within the frameworks of these courses. Tamar Sikharulidze introduced to students the partnership schemes between the hotel industry and tour operators, aspects of hospitality management, problems related to state regulation of tourism, etc.
The students were offered an introductory tour of Gallery Palace after the masterclass. It is worth mentioning that Lali Mikeladze, supervisor of CIU Undergraduate Program in Tourism and Tamar Sikharulidze, general manager of Hotel Gallery Palace planned future collaboration by taking into consideration students’ interests and desires.
