Training – The Youth for the Right Choice

The training – The Youth for the Right Choice was organized for students by the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University on May 31, 2019.

The training was conducted by Ms. Tinatin Dolidze, chairperson of Non-Governmental Organization - For Strong Georgia and Ms. Irma Chemia, CEC trainer. Within the framework of the training, the presenter introduced to students the international standards of elections, voting procedures, legislative regulations of elections and the specificity for governing election procedures. In addition, she discussed the principles of election law and the history of elections in Georgia.

CIU students participated in the election day simulation on the second day of the training and it will facilitate informing students about election procedures.

We would like to remind you that the aim of the project is to increase the level of civic education among young voters in higher education institutions in Tbilisi, provide information on the basic principles of democratic elections, the formation of Georgian state organization and elective bodies.
