On the topic: Facilitating the Introduction of Innovative Technologies and Methodologies in General Educational Institutions

Aims:
- Strengthen management capacities of the administration at General Educational Institutions of Georgia in order to ensure a positive, organized and secure environment at schools;
- Increase school teachers’ abilities by using innovative technologies and methodologies in the academic process.
The following significant issues will be discussed during the conference:
- Developing collaboration between Georgian schools in order to form a unified academic space;
- Facilitating the development of professional relationship between the teachers from various regions of Georgia and stimulating the activities by exchanging the best practice;
- Encouraging research activities in general education institutions;
- Introducing modern technologies in academic process at General Education Institutions and sharing experience;
- Topic and school – sharing practice;
- Using technologies in public school management;
- The role of administration in creating safe academic environment at school;
- Principal as a school leader in establishing innovative methods and technologies;
- Principal as a school leader in the process of achieving and maintaining high professional standards of teaching and learning;
- Familiarizing with international experience in school management;
- Safe school – current challenges and ways for salvation;
- Bullying at school - sharing examples by the administration and teachers how to prevent the problem on time.
Requirements:
- Time allotted for the presentation of the paper – 10 minutes, debates – 5 minutes;
- Joint meetings and parallel sections will be operating;
- If a participant submits more than one work, priority will be given to the high standard work which is closer to the conference concept;
- In case of co-author (no more than 2 people), the work must be presented by only one participant; both co-authors will appear in printed abstracts;
Participation in the Conference is available for the following individuals:
- Teachers of public and private schools in Georgia;
- School principals;
- Representatives of administration;
- Senior students and alumni of Postgraduate Educational Program in Education Administration;
- Education management experts who study general education system based on the conference aims and significant issues.
Comments:
- Conference topics are unlimited due to the conference aims and listed significant issues;
- Conference Organizing Committee is granted the right to decline an applicant with incomplete documentations (abstract, personal data – filled in application form);
- It is not required to send complete papers in advance.
The guidelines for formatting an abstract and a paper:
- The abstract should include title, the issue must be stated together with its significance, research novelty, aims, objectives, research methods, the value of the anticipated survey results and practical application;
- The abstract must not exceed 500 words;
- Significance of the issue (how important is the given issue for education system. You can use researches, reports, recommendations, etc.);
- Innovation and creative approach;
- The novelty of the work and the potential contribution in improving the existing practice;
- Coherence of the work (the abstract must be written in academic style, title must correspond to the content, the component parts of the abstract must be coherent);
- Formatting rules for abstract: Font – Sylfaen; size – Title – 12 Bold, main text – 12;
- Conference paper must cover all the issues presented in the abstract and be accompanied by a reference page.
Conference participants will be awarded Caucasus International University certificates.
Important Dates:
11. 11. 2018 – deadline for submitting registration forms and abstracts;
20.11. 2018 – Applicants will be notified about the results of abstract evaluation;
02.12.2018 – Conference Opening Ceremony.
