The next meeting of the educational project - Conversations on Art was held with the modern Georgian writer - Dato Turashvili on December 17, 2018. The event was organized by Tbilisi Municipality Local Administrative Body of Nadzaladevi district and by the support of the university for pupils of public schools of the district.
The meeting was attended by 44 pupils from 22 schools registered in the district, their Georgian language teachers and CIU students.
Talking about books is the most pleasant thing for me, as there does not exist greater invention than this one – Mr. Davit Turashvili started the conversation with these words with the audience at the conference hall.
The writer discussed healthy, competitive environment during his lecture where pupils’ motivation and education are emphasized. Therefore, he encouraged them to progress, study and choose a correct profession.
The updated version of one of the most famous novels of the writer - Sunken Town - was also presented during the meeting. This novel is about Tbilisi, which has disappeared in the depths of the Mtkvari River long ago and which fell victim to new era and change.
The cycle of cultural-educational events Conversations on Art will continue in 2019, where pupils and interested individuals will be able to attend public lectures conducted by representatives of various fields in art.
