The concluding event of the international scientific conference – Georgian Wine and Vine – Traditions and Scientific Challenges was held on May 12, 2019.
Georgian and foreign participants of the conference visited the first Ikalto Kvevri School Academy in Telavi, where they received information about the manufacturing technologies of kvevri and saw the relevant material-technical base. Georgian and foreign participants of the conference discussed different achievements and challenges in the wine and viticulture field and shared mutual experiences after the cognitive tour of the Academy.
In addition, the conference participants visited Alaverdi monastery and tasted wine there.
We would like to remind you that the conference was held on May 9-12, 2019. The event was organized by Caucasus International University and Tbilisi State University, with the support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
The presenters of the International Scientific Conference were from the leading universities and research centers in the field of Viticulture-Winemaking in Georgia, Europe and Canada.
The theme of the conference was diverse, covering Georgian scientific fields about wine and vine. The results of the international researches conducted in Georgia and abroad in historic-ethnographic and modern technological-agro-diversity and economic-political directions in viticulture-winemaking are presented.
