World Heart Day is celebrated on 29 September in 100 countries around the world which are the members of the World Heart Federation. This day was also celebrated by the Georgian Heart Foundation with various types of events including sports and scientific-practical conference.
It is noteworthy that foreign students of CIU Faculty of Medicine, by the initiative and organization of Tamar Vakhtangadze, Affiliated Professor at Caucasus International University, board member of Georgian Society of Cardiology and honorary member of European Society of Cardiology, also became engaged in the activities arranged by the foundation.
The main aim of World Heart Day is to promote healthy lifestyle, introduce medical achievements and give advice and recommendations to people. The slogan of Heart Day is “Heart for Heath”.
We would like to remind you that the president of Georgian Heart Foundation is Merab Mamatsahsvili, Doctor of Medical Science, Professor, honorary member of Heart and Heart-Lungs Associations in Europe and America, honorary Professor at University of California, San Francisco and Cornell University, New York.
