The concluding event of the Faculty of the Business project - Business Incubator was held at Caucasus International University on November 19.
Six-month business incubator, supervised by Marika Kldiashvili, project author and senior mentor, consisted of several stages: submitting applications; selecting business ideas and forming groups; using business model “Canvas”; conducting various types of studies; working out the elements of Brand book; promoting business ideas via social networks and websites; creating minimal version of product (MVP); financial calculation; revealing the best teams.
Kakhaber Kordaia, CIU Rector, Nino Baratashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Marina Gedevanishvili, Head of Quality Assurance Service greeted the project participants and wished them success.
At the concluding event of the project, 3 teams from the final stage presented business ideas, and the idea of creating a literary café – Harmony became a winner by the decision of the competent committee. Team members Mariam Ghvinjilia, Nika Turmanidze, and Diana Esartia worked on this idea.
The general sponsor of the project is Medical Corporation Evex, which gave cash prizes to the winning teams. In addition, Caucasus International University also gave presents to the best teams of the project.
The committee of the concluding event was represented by Professor Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector; Lasha Vashakidze, Health Care Projects Coordinator of medical Corporation Evex; Guja Narimanishvili, founder and executive director of Travel Guide; Tinatin Maghalashvili, painter, designer, founder of Fashion House “Tinatin Maghalashvli”; Iko Kiasashvili, founder of the company “Iko”.
It is worth mentioning that an exhibition-sale of handmade items created by students was held during the event.
